The Hasty Licks are an alternative rock band from Austin, Texas, featuring Matt Southwell (drums, vocals), Lucy Jordan (guitar, backing vocals), Lucas (guitar), and Brian Nass (bass).
Rooted in the sound and spirit of ’90s alternative rock, the band draws from the decades surrounding it—classic rock, punk, post-punk, and grunge—combining guitar-driven arrangements with melodic hooks and introspective lyrics. The result is a sound that feels familiar without living in the past: raw, melodic, and built to be played loud.
Since forming in 2023, The Hasty Licks have been carving out their place in Austin’s live music scene while developing a catalog of original material that balances heavier edges with melody and atmosphere.
